Flexible Lesson Plans to Suit Your Schedule

1. Who is the semi-intensive course best suited for?
This course is ideal for learners who want to progress faster than the standard route but still need a flexible schedule that fits around work, study, or other commitments.

2. Do I need to have passed my theory test before starting?
Yes. We recommend having your theory test passed and a practical test date booked before starting the course for the best results. Please note that if you are looking to fit this course for before your chosen test date, it is best that you've had a general idea about driving before enrolling, the DVSA requires at least 10 working days notice for any changes, but if you would like our help in re-scheduling a test, we may require more notice to increase your chances in swapping for a new date.

3. How many hours of lessons will I get in total?
You will receive a total of 32 hours of driving lessons spread over 4 weeks.

4. Can I choose between manual and automatic lessons?
Absolutely! We offer both manual and automatic driving lessons to suit your preference.

5. How flexible is the scheduling? Can I change lesson times?
All lessons are booked in one go at the time of enrolment due to high demand and limited availability. Please ensure you can commit to the pre-arranged lesson times, as any cancellations - unless due to serious circumstances such as medical emergencies - will be forfeited. We reserve the right to request evidence for our records.

6. What happens if I need to reschedule a lesson?
Unfortunately, pre-arranged lesson times cannot be changed. In very rare cases, if another student agrees to swap, we may be able to assist, but please note this is not guaranteed. As this is an intensive, high-demand course, changes are extremely difficult to accommodate and missed lessons will still be charged.

7. Are there breaks included during longer lessons?
Yes. For any session lasting 3 hours or more, we include a free 5–10 minute comfort break to help you stay focused and refreshed.

*8. Can I pay in instalments?
Yes, you can choose to pay £289.25 per week in advance. Please note that missed or late payments will result in immediate termination of the remainder of the course.

9. How soon can I start after booking?
On average, there is a 4 - 7 week wait. However, we may occasionally have earlier availability depending on cancellations or changes.

10. Will I be assigned the same instructor for all my lessons?
We aim to provide consistency by assigning you the same instructor throughout your course whenever possible.

11. What if I don’t feel ready for my test by the booked date?
If, after your first session, it’s deemed that the course pace isn’t suitable for you, we’ll offer to reschedule your remaining hours into standard 2-hour lessons. These must be completed within 6 months, in line with our terms and conditions. We’ll also aim to support you in moving or swapping your test date if needed.

12. Is the test date included in the course, or do I book it separately?
You’ll need to book your practical test date separately through the official DVSA booking system.

13. Do you provide the car for the test, or do I need my own?
Yes, you can use the instructor’s car for your test, provided you’re test-ready and the instructor agrees. Alternatively, you can use your own vehicle if preferred.

14. What should I bring to my lessons?
Bring your provisional driving licence, comfortable footwear, and anything else you may need (e.g., glasses or contact lenses if you require them for driving).

15. Do you offer lessons for nervous or first-time drivers?
Yes, we work with learners of all confidence levels and provide a supportive, calm learning environment tailored to your needs. However, if you've never been behind the wheel, we recommend taking a normal 2 hour lesson first to see how you find driving first (prices and packages for our usual lessons can be found on our website at www.precisedrivingschool.com).

16. What is your cancellation policy?
For this course, we operate a strict no-refund policy. Refunds may only be considered in exceptional circumstances, and we may request supporting evidence (e.g., medical documents). We take a non-refundable deposit of £289.25 to secure your first week of lessons.

17. How do I know if the semi-intensive course is right for me?
If you're looking to progress quickly while still maintaining some flexibility, and you’ve already passed your theory test, this course is may be a great fit for you. During your first session, your instructor will assess your suitability and guide you on the best path forward.
